Beyond zero-landfill solar panel recycling, Comstock Metals offers two auxiliary services supporting clients across North America, designed to meet clients where they are and create bespoke solutions.
Our Site (Field) Services cover any work done on site around a functioning solar array. Whether the panels came to the end of their serviceable life from storm damage, manufacturing defects, transportation or installation breakage, a decrease in efficiency, or any other reason, we can provide the boots on the ground to gather up the panels, prepare them for shipment, and/or provide the forklift and operator needed to load the trucks.
Comstock Metals’ Site Services are catered to whatever the need of our client is on that particular jobsite. Throughout this, the working array stays in place and operational. Only the previously uninstalled panels are removed from the site.
For sites that have reached end of life or are being repowered, Comstock Metals removes the entire solar array, from the panels, racking, ballasts, combiner boxes, inverters, wiring, and conduit to junction boxes and more.
On request, our decommissioning team can also return each site to its original condition by removing fencing and gravel roads, filling drainage ditches, and regrading the land.
Whatever the size of the job, every panel Comstock removes is responsibly recycled at one of our first-of-their-kind recycling facilities and is never landfilled.

Absolutely. We can work with any internal regulations, including but not limited to drug screening, background checks, work authorization, and more.
Comstock Metals puts safety above all else for any work being done on-site. We uphold all OSHA standards and provide additional in-house guidance for solar-specific situations, such as wind speed limits when handling panels on elevated platforms and wildlife concerns like snakes or vermin. Every jobsite will have an OSHA 30-certified supervisor present at all times, and all operators will have certifications for the equipment they use.
We can stand up Site Services or Decommissioning projects in all 50 states.
Yes, we can. We are in the problem-solving business, so whatever that particular jobsite needs, from full-scale turnkey decommissioning to one person with a forklift, we can make that happen.
Yes, we can. We prefer to handle the logistics to ensure all documentation is handled properly under each state’s regulations.
Each site has different panel conditions, and each panel type presents different challenges, but our teams are experienced in managing these problems. We use every tool and technique available, from metal strapping to force a stack of folded-over full-frame panels into compliance, to Gaylord boxes and/or super sacks for badly broken thin-film modules.
