About Comstock Metals

The Global Standard for Responsible Solar Panel Recycling

Comstock Metals is a full-service end-of-life solar panel recycler based in Silver Springs, Nevada. We efficiently and safely recycle all the glass, aluminum, and metal components of every panel—for all makes, models, and conditions.

A Responsible Approach to Solar Panel Recycling

Comstock Metals ensures no solar panel, material, or component ever goes to landfill or is treated as waste.

Our field services and recycling process are designed to exceed the highest Quality, Safety, and Health standards at every step.

We ensure every end-of-life panel supports a sustainable domestic energy ecosystem through our proprietary, industry-leading recycling and metal recovery techniques.

Our Commitment to Our Clients

01

We do not resell, repair, or refurbish solar panels

02

We are the final destination for solar panels

03

100% of useful materials from every panel are converted into environmentally safe materials for the critical materials market

A National Network for Responsible Solar Panel Recycling

Comstock Metals is building a national infrastructure for responsible solar panel recycling. Our strategically positioned facilities reduce transportation costs while ensuring panels are recycled safely and sustainably—minimizing logistics requirements for our customers.

End-to-End Domestic Processing on All-American Equipment

Comstock has invested millions of dollars in developing and outfitting our industry-scale facility with precision equipment designed and manufactured domestically.

All recovered materials are sent to companies within the United States for reuse in American industry. We are the only U.S. company to engineer all of our equipment in-house—so we can recycle every panel type, reuse every byproduct safely, and scale with utility-scale demand.

Fully Credentialed and Certified

We collaborate with industry, community, and policy leaders—including SEIA and ReMA—to advance a more sustainable, traceable, closed-loop solar recycling supply chain.

We were the first solar panel recycling company in North America to earn SERI R2v3 Appendices A, E, and G, and RIOS 2016 Certifications. In 2026, we were authorized by California’s DTSC as a universal waste recycler that can treat PV modules.

Our Legacy in Metals

Comstock Metals LLC was established in 2022 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Comstock Inc. (NYSE: LODE), to leverage long-held metals expertise against the emerging end-of-life solar panel management crisis.

Since then we’ve built a nationwide network centered in Nevada, assembled a team spanning field work, regulatory issues, and recycling technology, and developed proprietary processing that recovers materials at an industry-leading rate. Follow our work in the newsroom or on LinkedIn.
